During my time at Microsoft, Visual Studio 2013 launched. Since I was in the Developer Experience marketing team, I helped promote the launch both internally and externally.

Visual Studio 2013 had just launched and  Microsoft sponsored an agile development conference. The sponsorship agreement only allowed Microsoft to give the attendees a sheet of paper, so I had to think outside the box.  I wanted to turn the paper into something interactive and interesting, so I ended up designing a flyer with an origami box and blurb on Visual Studio 2013. The flyers had a tracked link so we were able to track that users actually went on the website using the link on the flyer.

Visual Studio Boxes

The Visual Studio flyer folded into an origami box that the user could use.

We also had official Microsoft launch events in Montreal and Toronto that I helped to organize.

I also coordinated with several user groups across Canada to host local Visual Studio 2013 launch events. We provided each user group with a small sponsorship, swag, flyers that I designed and pre-made slide decks with demos to help speakers with presentations.
